This is a very simple pattern in which you simply cut out three (3) hearts, two of which are smaller than the third. Once cut, arrange them as shown above (or any other design that suits you!) on a contrasting background. When cutting the background fabric, I cut it a half inch larger, so that I have room for "shrinkage" when I appliqué. Once I finish appliquéing the block, I then trim it to size. The block shown above is 8.5", unfinished. The width of the small hearts (at its widest point) is approximately 3". The width of the larger heart is approximately 4.5". These hearts were fused down with a lightweight, double-sided fusible webbing, then appliquéd on using the Buttonhole Stitch.
