     This is a very simple pieced pattern made from 3" x 3" squares.  The finished size is 12"; the unfinished size is 12.5".

     There are two color fabrics in this block: Green (as the shamrock leaf) and tan or cream (for the background).

 

Cutting Requirements
(1 block)

Greens

12 - 3" x 3" squares

Tan or Cream

04 - 3" x 3" squares

Purples

09 - 3" x 3" squares

  1. Using the pattern above, assemble the squares into five rows (notice that rows 1 and 5 are the same and rows 2 and 4 are the same?), as shown in the following diagram, using a scant "small" 1/4" seam:

  2. Next, assemble the five rows into a block, as shown in the following diagram:
