2007 Block
Parties!
2001 through 2003
Some call it block lotto, some may
call it block-drawing luck, but we're calling ours a
block party!
Guidelines:
-
Blocks submitted for the Block
Party drawing must use good quality, 100% cotton fabric and
quality matching thread. (Such
as, no thin fabric that you can see through or white fabric sewn
with navy thread.).
-
Blocks should measure the
stated size. Please
double check and square up your blocks prior to mailing.
Any blocks not measuring within less than ¼” of the
stated size will not be included in the drawing.
-
Do your best to
make a
block that anyone would be proud to include in their quilt.
Remember to press your seams in the appropriate direction
and trim any loose threads. Poorly
constructed blocks will not be included in the drawing.
-
When possible, the hostess
and/or participants will identify potential “trouble spots”
for each block and offer suggestions to aid those who may still be
in pursuit of that scant ¼” seam and to further help you insure
your blocks meet the requirements for inclusion.
-
Please remember, this is a
lotto, involving many different people with various skill levels.
You may become the proud new owner of enough blocks to put
together into a quilt, or you may only receive the chance to try a
new pattern and practice your skills.
-
Most importantly –
HAVE FUN!!!
BLOCK
PARTIES!
Coming 2007!
